The new Wharfedale DENTON 1S carries the Wharfedale Heritage legacy forward. Like its predecessor, it is designed to punch well above its size, delivering a rich, engaging sound from a compact cabinet. And just as the DENTON  80th and 85th anniversary models revived classic design cues, the 1S evolves the formula further — blending heritage aesthetics with advanced acoustic engineering to meet the demands of contemporary listening spaces, yet again proving that Wharfedale’s heritage comes in more than one form.

First introduced in 1967, the original DENTON was Wharfedale’s answer to a changing hi-fi landscape — a truly compact loudspeaker that delivered natural sound, fine craftsmanship, and outstanding value. The DENTON 1 followed in 1974 with a new styling that challenged convention not only through its engineering, but also in its appearance, stepping away from the traditional wooden-box aesthetic in favour of a more utilitarian, forward-looking 'late modernist' design.

That same spirit of reinvention defines the new Wharfedale DENTON 1S.
